Project Summary

We started working with Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation in 2011 to advertise the amenities of the parks as well as the events at each park. We were hired to increase general awareness and visitation to the parks as well as attendance at the events. In 2013 we proposed rebranding each park and giving each its own identity, logo and ‘look’. We successfully created a unique and memorable identity for Romare Bearden Park, Fourth Ward Park, First Ward Park and Freedom Park. This allowed us to develop an aesthetic for each park that carried over into park signage, collateral, promotions and website presence. We also created a website that allowed us to introduce a more user friendly experience for seeing what events are at what parks and when. We promoted the parks and their events through digital media, social media and traditional media as well as Earned Media and PR.
