Logo & Branding Agency in Charlotte, NC

Most brands don’t fail because the logo was wrong. They fail because nobody ever decided what the company was actually for — so every ad, every hire and every sales conversation says something slightly different, and none of it compounds.

We start with that decision. Then we design around it.

The short answer
The Agency Angle is a branding agency in Charlotte, NC. We build brand strategy, identity, logos, messaging and brand guidelines for businesses launching, rebranding or outgrowing what they have. Focused identity projects start around $8,000, quoted as fixed scope before work begins, and scale as the engagement grows.

Our Brands

Who THIS IS FOR

Three moments a brand gets decided

You're launching a new venture or division

An established organization bringing something new to market — a product line, a division, a spin-off — that needs an identity strong enough to stand on its own and disciplined enough to sit beside the parent brand.

Your brand hasn't kept pace with the business

The company has grown — new markets, new capabilities, a different calibre of client — and the identity still describes who you were five years ago. That gap costs credibility in every pitch, proposal and hire.

You're navigating a merger/ acquisition/ name change

Brand equity has to survive the transition — with customers, employees and the market. That's exactly the problem we solved for Marcellino Moore, whose name change kept two decades of recognition intact.

What’s included

Everything a brand needs to hold up

Brand strategy

Positioning, audience definition, competitive landscape, the promise you're actually making, and the reason someone should believe it. The part most agencies skip and every good brand is built on.

Brand identity

Naming where you need it, logo and mark design, colour palette, typography system, and the supporting elements that make the brand work at billboard size and favicon size.

Visual style guide

The rules, written down, so the brand holds together across every designer, vendor, market and regional team that touches it.

Verbal communication guide

Voice, tone, message hierarchy, the words you use and the words you never use. This is what makes your ads, emails and sales deck sound like the same company.

Creative campaign concepts

The brand platform expressed as campaigns — the thing that turns an identity into something people actually see.

Photography, video, animation & design

In-house. The brand you approved is the brand that ships, not an approximation two vendors later. If the brand needs to move, that's our animation studio.

What it costs

Fixed scope, quoted up front

Focused identity

from $1,000

Strategy, logo, palette, type and a basic style guide.

Full brand platform

Scales with scope

Naming, messaging, campaign concepts and a complete guidelines system — added as the engagement grows.

The variable is scope, not hourly rate, we quote fixed scope before we start, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.

How we work

Five steps, one decision at the centre

Discovery

We talk to you, and where it matters, to your customers and your team. We're here to tell you the truth about what we find, including when it isn't what you hoped.

Strategy

Positioning and platform, agreed before a single visual is made.

Design

Identity concepts, refined down to one. Not fifteen options designed to make you choose.

System

Guidelines, assets, templates — everything handed over in files you own.

Launch

Rollout across web, social, print and environment, so the brand lands everywhere at once instead of leaking out over six months.

FAQs

Asked before every branding engagement

A focused identity project — strategy, logo, palette, type and a basic style guide — typically starts around $8,000. Full brand platforms scale from there, with naming, messaging, campaign concepts and guidelines added by scope. The variable is scope, not hourly rate, and we quote fixed scope before we start.

Six to twelve weeks for most projects. Strategy is three to four weeks of that, and it’s the part worth not rushing.

Yes. Every source file, every format, on handover. No licensing entanglements, no ongoing dependencies.

That’s a specific skill and it’s one we’ve done. Marcellino & Tyson became Marcellino Moore after a leadership change — we evolved the identity rather than replacing it, so existing clients still recognised the firm.

We do, but we’ll usually push back. A logo without positioning behind it is decoration, and decoration doesn’t survive its first hard quarter.
